ABA Canada Attends OCOT Press Release
On January 10, 2020, the Allied Beauty Association of Canada was proud to represent the professional beauty industry with MPP Monte McNaughton, Ontario Minister of Labour, Training and Skills Development, as he announced a province wide ad campaign designed to make skilled trades more attractive.
The ABA is excited to see this campaign as a way to highlight and promote all the exciting opportunities that exists in the skilled trades, especially in our incredible industry. However, we believe what is more important is a final strategy that addresses the concerns over the dissolution of the Ontario College of Trades. (OCOT).
The ABA strongly believes in a licensing structure that is comprehensive, accountable and clearer for beauty professionals. The ABA would love to hear from you on what you believe the new OCOT program should look like. Write us firstname.lastname@example.org.
